Fun Stuff!

Once again, we’ve been super busy, sorry about the lack of blog updates. Let’s see, where to start…

How ‘bout them Utes, eh? We’ve been having so much fun this season and still love having season tickets. I can already see that we’ve started a fun family tradition. We love being with our friends and screaming until we can’t scream anymore. Now that there are some away games coming up, we’re looking forward to hosting some game parties at our house. Yay!

Josh and I (mostly Josh) finally got the initiative to renovate the downstairs bedroom. When we bought our house, the room was nothing but shelving. It would have been a great space for a family that needed lots of room for storage - but for us, there’s plenty of room in our garage or two panties in the kitchen. We tore down the shelving, Josh and Ryan filled and sanded the holes in the walls, painted, carpeted and made the room pretty again. It’s so great to have another bedroom! Ryan moved down there last weekend, so now I have two spare bedrooms upstairs.

We rearranged our family room downstairs, partially to make room for our new addition…. Our awesome friends Jim & Emily Pehrson (Matt, Marne, and Jared’s Parents) gave us their fish tank and stand. Josh and I had been wanting a fish tank for a while, but they’ve always been just another unnecessary expense. Well, the price was right, so we picked it up! Jim built the stand himself and it’s really neat. There are lights behind the glass and it’s really just beautiful. But we did figure that since it was already disassembled, it would be a good opportunity to make any changes now. We sanded down the wood, and stained it. So far it looks gorgeous. We’re really excited to see the final results!

Josh cleaned out the garage and made it a functioning workshop area (for him). He even bought some wheels and built a cart that he can store and move around when needed. He’s so handy! It’s truly a blessing that I found him. I like that he knows how to take care of things himself.

I do believe that’s it for me… I’m sure there’s more happenings in our lives, but I think you’ve endured enough reading….oh by the way, 15.5 days until we go to Florida!!
