A Real Post

Sorry my posts have been so uninformative lately. I keep meaning to blog and then I remember I want pictures to go with my blog, so then I put it all off. Well, I shall put it off no longer. I don’t have very many photos, but I will post what I do have and add more later.

Where to start…. Well the house next door to us is a foreclosed house. The bank has been cleaning it up little by little and putting random things out to the curb. Recently they put out an older fridge and washing machine. Josh repaired the washing machine for under $10 and we’re in the process of listing it for sale on KSL. The fridge was DISGUSTING; there was food in there that was completely rotted and just nasty! Josh took the time to clean it out and make it spotless. We sold that on KSL Saturday for $160. We like getting money for things that cost us little to nothing!

Josh and I have been working hard to get everything done in our house. We know that we’ll never be completely done, but we’re trying hard! We work all day and then come home at night to work on the house till our bodies just can’t function anymore. It’s difficult, but so worth it! I love being able to see the fruits of our labor and know that it’s our house and we’re working for us.

We are in the process of trying to find a couch set for our basement family room and then we’ll move our other couches upstairs. We also need to finish carpet cleaning...the stains look worse in the photo! Until then, this is how it looks:

The previous owners painted the garage black, with a lovely flame door mural. We’re keeping the flames, but the black had to go. Here's the new color and our awesome door:

Here is a photo of our kitty thinking that the table is the perfect place to nap. She was happy till we pushed her off…

And a video of Josh and I doing dishes and preparing dinner (exciting) in our new kitchen… (I mostly wanted to test the video quality of the new iPhone)

In other news, while at work on Friday I “accidentally” sold a life insurance policy. Normally at work I deal with agents and assist them in selling policies. On Friday a gentleman called in asking for quotes, and I helped him as I would any other agent, only to later find that he wasn’t actually an agent, just a guy off the street wanting insurance. It’s extremely rare that someone would call to get a policy on their own (especially in this economy). So since I’m still a licensed agent, I am able to sell him the policy. Easiest sale I’ve ever made!! Woot!

We are also still planning on having our housewarming party on Saturday and would love to see you there. Let me know if you'd like to come! (call/text/email, info here)

Sounds like the house is coming along. Great job at keeping the garage door; I would have done the same thing!! Have fun at the housewarming party; I will sleeping in the Uintas at that time, so I won't be able to make it. Hope you have a good time though!
